$2.49 Million Given to "Employees' Favorite Charities"

Record Campaign Set by Local ExxonMobil Employees!

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ExxonMobil is pleased to announce today that its employees and companies in the Metropolitan D.C. area have set a campaign record by raising over $2.49 million for non-profits during its recently concluded "Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign."

"Our employees understand the impact our support has on many local organizations during this critical time of need. Their response was a record-breaking campaign with over 98.6 percent of our employees contributing this year," said John Byrnes, 2008 ExxonMobil Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign Chair, and Operations Support & Best Practices Manager, ExxonMobil Refining and Supply Company.

Employees and ExxonMobil this year combined for an increase of 10.7 percent ($241,842) over the 2007 campaign to help support their favorite non-profit organizations. The ExxonMobil Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign provided employees with the opportunity to give to any charity with 100 percent of their contribution going to their designated charity.

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) provided a corporate contribution that will be distributed to 222 local health and human services non-profit organizations based on aggregate donations from employees. (Alphabetical listing of these organizations follows.)

The ExxonMobil family has a long history of supporting community groups and educational organizations in the greater Washington area, not only with contributions and grants to targeted organizations, but also with thousands of employees and retirees who volunteer their time and talent to local non-profits.
