Expected Election of Michael Dolan as Senior Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation, and Appointments of Stephen Pryor as President, ExxonMobil Chemical Company and Sherman Glass as President, ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that the company's board of directors expects to elect Mr. M. J. (Michael) Dolan as senior vice president of the corporation, effective April 1, 2008.

Mr. Dolan, 54, currently president, ExxonMobil Chemical Company (EMCC), will be a member of the corporation's Management Committee.

Mr. Dolan has held a variety of technical and managerial positions in the company's global petroleum refining and petrochemical businesses. He started his career in 1980 as a research engineer in Paulsboro, NJ. After several assignments in New Jersey, Mr. Dolan transferred in 1989 to Mobil Australia as a technical manager in its refining operations. He returned to the United States in 1991 and held a number of managerial positions before becoming vice president, Petrochemical Americas in 1998. Following the merger of Exxon and Mobil in 1999, he became regional director, Middle East and Africa, EMCC, located in Brussels, Belgium. In 2001, he became executive vice president of ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia. He returned to the United States as deputy to the president of ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company (EMRS) in 2003. Mr. Dolan was appointed president of EMCC in 2004.

Mr. Dolan was born in Attleboro, MA, and holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in business administration from Drexel University.

Concurrent with Mr. Dolan's election, the board of directors is expected to appoint Mr. S. D. (Stephen) Pryor, currently president, ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company to succeed Mr. Dolan as president of ExxonMobil Chemical Company, effective April 1, 2008.

Mr. Pryor, 58, joined Mobil Corporation in 1971 and has held a number of financial and managerial positions in the United States, Cyprus, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. In 1993, he was appointed vice president, Mobil Chemical Company and general manager, Plastics Division. In 1996, he became president, Mobil Asia Pacific and in 1998, executive vice president responsible for Mobil's international downstream business. Following the merger, he was appointed president of ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties Company, and in 2002 became executive vice president, ExxonMobil Chemical Company. He was appointed president of EMRS in 2004.

Mr. Pryor was born in New York, NY. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Lafayette College and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.

In addition, the board of directors is expected to appoint Mr. S. J. (Sherman) Glass, currently senior vice president, ExxonMobil Chemical Company, to succeed Mr. Pryor as president, ExxonMobil Refining & Supply Company, effective April 1, 2008.

Mr. Glass, 60, began his career in 1972 as an engineer at the Baytown refinery in Texas. Following a number of technical and management roles in the refining business of Exxon Company USA, he became vice president, Basic Chemicals Americas, Exxon Chemical Company, in 1993, and in 1996 transferred to Brussels as vice president, Basic Chemicals Europe. He then held a number of other senior positions, including manager refining, Exxon Company International, responsible for the refining business outside North America. In 2001, he became general manager, Corporate Planning, Exxon Mobil Corporation, before being appointed president, ExxonMobil Global Services Company in 2002. Mr. Glass was appointed senior vice president, Basic Chemicals, Intermediates & Synthetics, EMCC, in 2005.

Mr. Glass was born in Houston, TX and is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, holding both bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering.
